Wedding/ Reception Site- Somerby Golf Club
The ceremony sites are very nice, but the reception sites are what I love about Somerby. The rooms are beautifully decorated with large windows overlooking the golf course, and they open onto a patio that is available to reception guests.

Another favorite, The St James is an elegant historical site for small-mid sized weddings or receptions in Red Wing. The architecture provides for great photos.

Wedding/Reception Site- Berwood Hill Inn
Berwood Hill Inn is a personal favorite as it is where we got married. It is lovely B&B in the rolling green hills of Lanesboro. The gardens and views are fantastic for an outdoor wedding (and great photos!). The only problem is the reception site is fairly small so a tent would need to be rented for groups larger than 100.

Wedding / Reception Sites- Rochester Art Center
A great site from the photographer's point of view. The Art center is modern, open, and roomy for receptions or weddings. Lots of floor to ceiling windows provide natural light and views of downtown and the river. The park behind the center is a great spot to get some romantic outdoor portraits.

This is a popular and roomy location for receptions and weddings. Lots of great spots to take photos inside or outside. I love the reception site- very classy and open with large windows overlooking the golf course.

The Doubletree hotel, located in downtown Rochester MN is an outstanding venue to have your wedding reception at. The contemporary decor, amazing food, and first class service all make this the perfect place to entertain your wedding guests. Highly recommended!

The Rochester Event Center is a very popular spot for weddings. It has great facilities, particularly for larger groups. Due to its size though, a lot of decorating seems to be needed or the rooms can feel a bit bare.

Reception site - Willow Creek Golf Course
Willow Creek is a nice location for receptions. The golf course location makes for great formals and fun casual spots if the Bride and Groom want to get some outdoor pictures after the ceremony. Due to the size though, it seems to work better for small-mid sized groups.

Iron Wood Springs Christian Ranch has a cozy log cabin chapel great for wedding ceremonies. It will seat about 300, and has a large fieldstone fireplace that makes the perfect backdrop for photos.

Dancing lessons- Dahl Dance
We tried a couple of dancing places to take lessons from and we really liked Dahl Dance. Gary and April (the owners) are fun and easy to learn from and if you want to keep dancing after the wedding their group lessons are quite affordable.
